VII Code O2M Oxygen Eye Mask for Dark Circles | Review

VII Code 02M Oxygen Eye Mask Review

I spend a lot of time cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing my skin with all sorts of oils, serums and creams, switching up my routine whenever I need to address a particular concern. When it comes to the sensitive skin under my eyes though, I am definitely not as careful as I should be. I usually conceal the damage with makeup, rather than try to find a way to fix it with skincare. There are eye creams that I’ve used regularly and loved, but I’ve always used them as a way to prevent future fine lines and wrinkles and I’ve never felt like they truly helped brightening up tired eyes.

Over the past few months, I’ve been busy trying to write my PhD thesis, teaching, finishing a Digital Marketing certificate, running a business and blogging all the same time. My sleep schedule has been inconsistent and unpredictable to say the least, and the bags under my eyes have become more pronounced. Enter the VII Code O2M Oxygen Eye Mask for dark circles*, which promises to banish tired eyes, dark circles and fine lines.

Eye masks have been on my radar for a while, but the VII Code 02M Eye Mask for Dark Circles is special in that it is an overnight treatment, designed to be worn for up to eight hours while you sleep. It works to fix lifestyle damages, as well as increase blood flow and lymphatic circulation to the under-eye area, so you wake up looking like you’ve had a good night’s sleep even if you spent the best part of the night rushing to meet a deadline (or binge-watching that new Netflix show).

The thick gel formula is cooling and surprisingly comfortable to wear. The gel has a bouncy, squidgy texture that’s fun to use and sticks to the skin so the patches don’t move around while you sleep. The jelly patches peel off easily when it’s time to remove them, even after a full eight hours of wear.

Wearing a thick cooling eye mask to bed does takes some getting used to. The first time I tried the mask, I put the patches on too close to my lash line and couldn’t comfortably open my eyes. It also felt really itchy, almost like I was having an allergic reaction. I decided to stick with it for the night, and it was absolutely fine by morning. There wasn’t any residue at all when I removed the patches, the product had been absorbed into the skin completely.

Each time I wore the VII Code O2M Oxygen Eye Mask for dark circles to bed, I got between six and eight hours of sleep. When I woke up, I noticed that the skin under my eye looked smoother, more radiant and more supple than usual. My under-eye skin was also really soft. I don’t have a problem with dark circles in general, but my eyes tend to get puffy when I haven’t had enough sleep. There was no puffiness at all after using the mask, just smooth under-eye skin, ready for moisturizer and makeup.

One box contains six packets and retails for a rather steep $58. VII Code recommends using the treatment two or three times a week, with a full course of treatment being three entire boxes, or eighteen nights. It’s not especially cheap and it’s also a huge time commitment. Given that I saw results immediately, I will be keeping the leftover packets on hand to wear before special occasions or whenever I need a quick fix for tired eyes, but I will not be continuing with the entire course of treatment.
