A Germaphobe’s Guide to the Holidays | Live Clean Holiday Hand Soaps

Live Clean Holiday Hand Soaps Review

‘Tis the season for sexy gift guides and luxury advent calendars, but I’m coming at you today with something a little different the Live Clean Holiday Hand Soaps*. It may not seem quite as exciting as a shiny beauty holiday collection, but I promise you it is.

The Germaphobe’s Guide to the Holidays

I’m a bit of a germaphobe (that’s an understatement), so I know a thing or two about hand washing. Come November, my hands are red, raw, and bleeding thanks to a lovely combination of washing my hands fifty times a day, using copious amounts of hand sanitizer and exposure to dry, cold wind.

There’s not enough hand cream in the world to keep me moisturized, but it doesn’t matter because raw hands are a small price to pay for not catching nasty bugs on the commute home from work, when everyone is sniffling and you strongly suspect that the man to your right might throw up on your shoes before you can escape the crowded train.

What is more germ-filled than a trip on the subway? Holiday parties. Most people see Christmas soirées as an occasion to have a few drinks with friends and be merry, but they are an absolute nightmare for me. Hugs, kisses, handshakes, shared food and drinks, and germs, germs everywhere.

I may be the only person in the world who gets giddy with excitement when receiving hand wash in the mail, but when I first laid eyes on the Live Clean Holiday Hand Soaps duo, my heart literally skipped a beat. Because it’s not just hand wash…it’s holiday hand wash. It’s pretty, it smells good, and it fights colds and flus with its festive spirit (and, you know, soap).

Live Clean Holiday Hand Soaps Review

Christmas in a Bottle

With their beautiful cheery seasonal bottles, the Live Clean Holiday Hand Soaps bring a bit of Christmas joy to day-to-day life. They’re enriched with vitamin E and B for extra moisturizing, they’re vegan, and they’re free of sulfates, parabens, silicone, phosphates, and petroleum. They’re the perfect addition to a guest bathroom if you’re planning to have people over this holiday season.

The Live Clean Holiday Hand Soaps’ texture is thick and creamy, with a nice lather that feels gentle, yet very cleansing. I like to see a lot of foam when I wash my hands, so I know that it’s getting rid of the dirt and the germs, and these hand soaps deliver. Though I was my hands so often that they end up irritated anyway, the Live Clean hand soaps feel moisturizing, and they don’t sting my raw skin.

Oh, and they smell incredible. The Live Clean Holiday Hand Soaps are fragrant enough to transform a small bathroom into a holiday wonderland.

The Live Clean Vanilla Peppermint Liquid Hand Soap* ($4.99) smells sweet and minty, like a delicious York Peppermint Pattie. My sweet tooth clearly extends to hand wash as well, because this is my favourite scent of the two.

The Live Clean Holly Berry Liquid Hand Soap* ($4.99) on the other hand smells sweet and a little tart, like ripe juicy berries. It’s a nice change from the traditional Christmas scents like apple, cinnamon, and pine.

The Live Clean Holiday Hand Soaps are a practical, affordable and easy way to bring a little more Christmas spirit into your home!
