Lipstick Love Tag

Kalyn tagged me in her Lipstick Love tag post last month, and thus forced me to confront the fact that I own way too many lipsticks. I only have one face, after all! Here we go…

How many lipsticks do you own?
I counted 84…It’s a good amount of choice, I think. There’s no way I will ever finish all of them, but I still want more.

What was your first ever lipstick?
I bought my first ever lipstick when I started working in the beauty section at Superdrug. It was a Rimmel lipstick, in a terribly unflattering brownish-pink shade. Like, really, really ugly.

What is your favourite brand for lipstick?
Revlon, with Rimmel a close second.

What is your most worn lipstick?

It’s a tie between Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in 101 and Revlon Lip Butter in Candy Apple. Most of my collection is either bright pink or orange-toned though.

What is your favourite finish?
I love the shine finish from the Revlon Super Lustrous range.

How many lipsticks do you currently have in your handbag (including balms and glosses)?
3…I think that’s an acceptable number. To be honest, that number is usually a lot higher, but I recently got a new bag and put all the extra lipsticks back where they belong in my storage unit. So…3. For now.

How do you store your lipsticks?
I keep my most-used lipsticks in acrylic holders bought at the dollar store and on Ebay, and the rest in a drawer in my Alex storage unit from Ikea.

What lipstick do you use to rock a red lip?
I’ve been loving the Maybelline Color Elixir in Signature Scarlet. It’s bold, with just the right amount of glossiness. And it’s easy to apply.

What lip products are you currently lusting after?
Yves St-Laurent Volupté Sheer Candy. The only reason I haven’t purchased one yet is that I can’t decide which one I want the most…

Thank you so much to Kalyn for tagging me! I love having a little peek into other people’s hoarding habits, so I tag Zoë from Writing Whimsy, Natalie from Ivory Avenue and Jennie from Sailboat
