JORD Fieldcrest Wood Watch in Maple Review

A Review of the JORD Fieldcrest Wood Watch

I don’t need a watch to keep track of time. My phone does that for me and does it better than any traditional watch ever could. It does everything for me. It wakes me up in the morning, it beeps to let me know that I need to be somewhere in the next hour, it even takes the guessing out of time management by planning my TTC trips across the city. But then again, there’s something to be said for a gorgeous watch, a piece that’s timeless, yet wearable like the JORD Fieldcrest wood watch in Maple*. I may not need a watch, but it is a great fashion accessory and it makes me feel and look like I’ve got my life together. Fake it ’til you make it and all that, am I right?

This JORD Fieldcrest wood watch review has been a long, long time coming. I’ve been wearing it regularly for almost a year, and this wooden beauty has yet to let me down. It’s well-made, so light that you can’t feel it and easy to style. Casual afternoon at the museum wearing a band t-shirt and Converse sneakers? It works. Formal dinner? Just add a couple of silver bangles and you’re good to go.

I’m all about the little details, and JORD‘s attention to detail is what makes their watches the best wooden watches I’ve seen on the market so far. Each watch comes housed in a gorgeous engraved wooden box, with a lovely little pillow to keep it snug and safe so the wood and glass remain scratch-free. The maple my JORD Fieldcrest wood watch is made of is light, but it’s also study enough to withstand daily wear. The brand’s name is engraved on the clasp (which is invisible, bonus point!) and their logo is engraved on the wooden (not metal, perfect for sensitive skin!) underside of the face.

If you’re looking for a well-made watch that you can wear on a daily basis at a reasonable price point, JORD has so many beautiful watches, both for men and women. I already have a long list of styles I want to add to my accessories collection. The Frankie in Zebrawood and Champagne is right at the top of my list – it will look incredible with any Fall outfit. It’s not too early to think about sweater weather!

How would you style a wooden watch? Do you think a watch is worth the investment?
